Helping families touched by autism in Mississauga and the surrounding GTA. Creating and strengthening brain activity for the child affected by autism, in order to recover communication, self-care, relational and emotional skills.

Sessions include:

• Initial assessment which includes a 2-hour interview to discuss child and family needs before launching into the new parenting approach required to help the child affected by autism.
• Education 'Success Starts at Home' handout.
• Laminated P.E.C.S. as needed, enhance receptive language skills. 
• Skills kit. 
• Portable trampoline, beanbags,crafts and other innovative toys.
• Photo album to capture all the fun and learning. "Memory talk."
• Specific activities to address low attention span and motivation, decreased eye contact, build confidence, nurture new emotional and social interactions and flexible thinking.
• Teach that learning is fun and people are more important than things or isolated play.
• Play is always changing, important to follow a leader and add their input to keep the game or conversation going.
• School visits to help assess additional needs and foster academic success.
• Regular healthy doses of encouragement and understanding for both child and family.
